CLEVELAND, Ohio – Matt Borges has become something of a Donald Trump whisperer.
When the Ohio Republican Party chairman calls, the GOP nominee for president listens.
Trump toned down his attacks on John Kasich, who challenged him in the primaries, after Borges told him it would be political suicide to pick on Ohio's popular governor. And when Borges believes the New York businessman has gone too far, he doesn't mince words.
The two speak frequently by telephone and when Trump campaigns in the Buckeye State. But the contact has intensified in recent days, as Trump's campaign reels from the damaging revelation of a 2005 video that featured him making lewd comments about women.
Borges had just hung up with Trump when cleveland.com reached the chairman by telephone Wednesday morning. He shared details of their three discussions since Sunday.
What did they talk about Wednesday?
"I told him we have a path to carry Ohio, so let's just stick together," Borges said.
"He said, 'OK, I love ya.'"(continued)

Best part of this story is the new polling data they got in Ohio moving things strongly for Trump.
“there’s another poll that I am aware of that demonstrates his [second] debate performance had a huge impact.”
That is very good news and portends similarly across the country.
This guy doesnt sound like a great ally for Trump. A little concerning that he seems to be acknowledging a 9 pt advantage for the Criminal in that poll since she supposedly wrote the state off. National pollimg is tightening again and I fo think at the end of the day, Trump wins this thing.

No way, Borges has been the subject of a few recent articles in the Cincinnati Enquirer. He is “whipped” at home by his wife who wont allow him to put a #Trump sign in his own yard. This woman admits to never have voted before she married the Beta male.

I have not seen the name Kaine at all lately. Nor have I seen him on tv!
Geraldo came out today and said not only does he NOT have damning tapes, but that he was sorry for piling on at this time and Trump has always been good to him etc...
There is no such tape.
I'm sure he left no stone unturned looking for it.
The GOPe can have Kasich and take Portman, too. Neither support Trump. Portman thinks he’s untouchable.
