In Arizona we have touch screens that produce a piece of paper with you votes on it. You can check that your vote was recorded correctly, and there is something physical to recount.

As a programmer with over 30 years of experience I can assure you that I can print one piece of data on a piece of paper and save a different one to the database. Child's play.

Get rid of all electronic voting machines. Mechanical only.

Well, grasshopper, I was paid to write a computer program in 1964, so I am aware of that. But in this case the printed paper is then scanned into the database, and retained in case their is a need for a recount.
