Voters are notorious for short memories. Trump, the businessman, may have figured out he is keeping his powder dry for closer to election Ads.

That’s what I think this is BUT he risks losing the narrative and Hillary painting him permanently with hers.

Who needs ads when you have all this positive press? Oops. Let’s wake up. No ads equals no message now.

This is one of many reasons the press hates him. He isn’t paying them.

You mean the dumb swayable voters, the 10% of voters who are the swing voters who supposedly decide all national elections. You could be right.

Remember Ross Perot’s 30 minute infomercials? Those actually worked really good. I remember he was ahead in the polls for a little while after having those. (then he dropped out of the race and later came back)

Trump proved in the primaries that ads don't matter.

I remember Jebbie Bush spending tens of millions of dollars on ads and he got absolutely slaughtered.

Can't remember the last time I watched a TV commercial. It's nothing but streaming on demand and DVR for me.

Trump very well knows that he NEEDS to reach to voters who want their message from him unfiltered. Watch for him within the next few weeks to start doing 10 to 20 minute long "infomercials" that will run on YouTube, Daily Motion and Vimeo--in short, people on cellphones, tablet computers and desktop computers will get his message minus the filter of the MSM.

People who are aware of politics have mostly made their minds up already, and the undecideds have a very short attention span. The ads only have a tangible effect in the last couple weeks before voting.

I'm guessing there will be a barrage of impressive ads in late October.

Early & “absentee/vote-by-mail” starts as early as the week of September 19th...if he is doing TV ads they better start fairly soon.

And Trump realizes that people avoid TV ads like the plague.

I dont even have cable. I haven’t seen an ad all season unless I clicked on a link on FR to purposely view it.

Clintons won the 96 election by running early state by state ad during the summer, destoying Dole.

Trump has to answer some of this crap soon.

The Democrat networks are terrified that a Trump win would kill the idea that a candidate can’t win unless they raise a billion dollars from Fat Cats and then spend most of it on TV ads...ads that most people hate. If Trump could break that mold, it would be a good thing for the country.
