It was an Indian-American who spoke (with a heavy accent) for the Virginia delegation on the night of the Trump roll-call. He was initially a Cruz supporter from Loudoun County, an important swing district. It was encouraging to see him along with the other Cruz supports enthusiastically support Trump!

The Indians in this country, like the Asians and every other immigrant to the third generation, vote heavily for the Dims.
They went close to 70% for Obama.
The more time they spend in our colleges and universities, the more high-level positions they take (especially as opinion makers), the more to the left they run.
Speaking to Indians, two US Presidents had tremendous influence in India for as long as memory serves: Kennedy (Democrat) and Nixon (Republican). This may explain Indians’ leaning toward the Democratic party.
