Warren is their best chance for the first woman/women ticket historical hype. Should Hillary end up indicted (and what are the chances of that), Warren will already have a prime spot with just a little ticket reshuffling. The Democrats have to have a gimmick and women are their gimmick this time around.
More likely she will drop dead than get indicted- either one will be fine by me
