The Weekly Standard published An Open Letter to Mitt Romney on Tuesday night, begging the former Republican presidential nominee to launch a third-party bid. Well then, that's one magazine I will never be subscribing to.

“Romney would most likely take votes from Clinton so yeah go ahead.”
And that is EXACTLY how Trump should frame it. Maybe Hilarity will take Romney as her running mate,

Weekly Standard is a useless publication that will likely not even exist come February 2017.

So they want to replace Trump with "A B Normal"

So, let me get this straight, the Republicans did the following;
The base didn’t want McCain, but it was expected to vote for him.
The base didn’t want Romney, but was expected to vote for him.
Trump is the nominee, whaaaaaaa!, you can’t vote for him.
I’ve said this a few times, Trump, not my first choice, but far better than “hitch the dog to the car roof” Romney and more fightiness than McCain. (I disagree on a lot of things with McCain, but won’t deningrate him due to the price he paid in Vietnam.)
I’ll denigrate romney all day long. Mr. biz genius that doesn’t even test his get out the vote software before the big show. #neverromney
I will vote for Trump, much more enthusiastically than i ever could for romney.

The chattering classes rely on sugar daddies now. They are trolling for a big fish with this Romney nonsense no doubt.

Mitt was not a conservative when he ran last time.

What, ole Mitt finally grow a set?
I don’t think so.

The bought and paid for chattering classes are mouthpieces for their wealthy donors. There is nothing principled or conservative about giving aid and comfort to the Butcher of Benghazi.

Conservative magazine begs Romney to run for president
So, it's been quite a few years now since the Republican Party stole, copyrighted, patented, and misused the word "conservative".
Time to put some distance between Free Republic and the mangled alteration of the word "conservative"? How can we better express who we are politically?
To: ExTexasRedhead
Weakly Standard is NOT conservative, merely globalist.

Nothing like snatching defeat from the jaws of victory; the GOPe are experts at doing that. Why should we sign up for that stupidity?

Instead of “conservative” say “for God, family, country.” If you get those right, the rest falls into place.

Sigh...
When will they give this up? Even hardcore #NeverTrump guy Erik Erickson said that once June 1st had passed, it was over, the window for a independent candidate had closed, it was just too late at that point to fund-raise, build a campaign organization and gather petition signatures for ballot access (even for the "amazing" Mittens Robme)....

May I suggest you locate a safe space until after November 8.
