Why? What do they have to do with anything, especially with Lyn’ Ted and his few remained supporters convention scheming. You keep posting digs at Trump, keep supporting Cruz, sorry, cannot ignore. Please, give it up, he lost, move on.

They also kept their delegates and haven’t endorsed Trump. Why focus on Cruz?

When Donald Trump goes over the line and says something wrong, like in the case of John McCain, IMHO, he should admit when he's wrong, and apologize.

It doesn't make anybody less of a person for apologizing when they've said something wrong. A dogmatic refusal to apologize does not sit well with me.

Donald Trump had better get a lot more serious thatn he has been thus far. I know he's accomplished a lot, but I think he could be far ahead of where he is now if he just ran an overall smarter, more thoughtful campaign.

Honestly, IMHO (and you know I've been a STAUNCH supporter of Trump's), he has been running a haphazard campaign thus far. He's underachieved. He's going to have to up his game significantly if he wants to win a landslide. There are no sure things in life, besides death and taxes.

What I mean is that Donald Trump has barely scratched the surface of his potential to appeal to the electorate. He could be miles ahead of where he is already if he simply exercised more civility and didn't hold onto grudges, for instance.

And I have to agree with critics like New Gingrich when he said Trump needs to "knock it off" with some things. Gratuitous insults to a veteran, POW, and former GOP Presidential candidate is one of those things. I dislike McCain myself, but for his politics, not his military service record.

Donald Trump would win this election hands down, if he could just listen to some of the advice of his closest advisors. Again, I say that he's run a far from perfect campaign, and if he wins while performing at his current sub-optimal level, I think he'll be fortunate.

Vote Trump!

Because YOU keep bring him up, injecting him in every discussion, because YOU keep posting BS about Trump. No one else on FR is doing this, no one supporting Kasick or Rubio, nor are there any reports that even hint at anything still from these two. Cruz, on the other hand, is still scheming. You as a bundler defending him, injecting him, suggests you still support him and his efforts to undermine Trump. Even saying it is party rules or with an early eye on 2020 does not make it any more acceptable.

Whether Trump apologizes or not, I agree that of all of the criticisms of McCain, for his military service or experience as POW are wrong. He is and will always remain a hero. Now, as politician, not so good, definitely not a hero to me. In the bigger picture I am bothered by the concern trolls, media, and folks like Dole, that are lining up lists of people for Trump to apologize to. Ain’t happening.

Why bother? You, as a Cruz bundler, remind us repeated that he is still out there scheming—a fifth column plotting to undermine Trump and his supporters, giving aid as a result to Clinton.

How do you figure that Cruz is working to elect Democrats? You have links for that or just venting some more Cruz hate? /i>

Appearances. First the last ditch efforts in hope of a contested convention despite what the voters were saying and now holding his delegates for some sort of bargaining power 'just in case" they find a way to "un-pledge" all the delegates at the convention.

Any effort to undermine Trump at this time can be construed as an attempt to help the democrats win - and Cruz really alienated a LOT of us who started out as his supporters. Might as well brush the chip off the shoulder and roll with it - Cruz helped make a lot of former fans into distrustful foes.

“the 1996 Republican nominee who said he spoke with Trump last week — also suggested Trump apologize to Arizona Sen. John McCain and New Mexico Gov. Susanna Martinez “

Another solid endorsement...LOL. Better than nothing, I guess. I’d like to see some people start APOLOGIZING TO TRUMP for treating him with disdain when all he wants to do is EXACTLY the top job of every president, which is to protect the country from outsider enemies.

I don't think that the VP candidate is going to make a significant impact on people deciding to vote for Trump or not; Donald is going to be the deciding factor. Period.

That said, I agree with comments in this thread that the VP pick should be young enough to carry on Trump's agenda either in 4 or 8 years, or in the horrible event of incapacitation.

As far as who specifically should be the VP candidate, I am not going to guess. Everything I have seen this cycle indicates that the only experts who are going to support the next winner will be the ones who have shut up and started taking notes of what DJT is doing. He has re-invented the American political scene, and trying to apply the 20th century campaign techniques is a waste of time. Watch and learn, folks.

These 2th century talking heads I see on talk shows today look like the French cavalry attacking German tanks; not a good strategy...
