You are far too kind in your assessments, in calling these people “Pansies”.
The are cheese-eating, wine-bibbing surrender monkeys, on a scale that makes the entire French nation seem like small potatoes. They have given up, not on the American ideals, but on any hope of redemption, hoping the crocodile will eat them last. But never to doubt, the crocodile WILL eat them, like Captain Hook of Never-Never Land, though he was warned repeatedly of the approach of the crocodile by the ticking of the clock it had swallowed.
There shall be no refuge for them, as there was none for Hook.
