The last record was set in 2000 by George W. Bush, who earned 10.8 million votes. Looking at Trumps campaign, he will most likely knock this record.

well, since Trump already has 10,125,000 votes, and since we have 10 states to go including California which is the most populous state, IMHO, it is absolutely assured that he will break the record, and probably by at least 1 million votes.

Just shows how bad a campaign Rove ran in 2000 when we barely beat Gore with record breaking primaries.
