The Power of Work; Ted Cruz’s Story
The Huffington Post's Huffpost Politics The Blog ^ | April 19, 2016 | Daniel Kushner

Posted on 04/19/2016 4:28:21 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

“Cruz was the earliest to organize here and unquestionably had the deepest connections on the ground. His top local organizer, Bette Grande, has been supporting him for months, dating back to when Cruz’s father, Rafael Cruz, came to her house last September during a North Dakota campaign swing.”

How do you not love this? Literally eight months ago, he was already having his father campaign in North Dakota. And not just doing events, but going to the house of top local organizers in, again, not Iowa, not New Hampshire, not South Carolina, but North Dakota. And it’s not like Ted was working any less hard.

There is a serious discussion to be had about policy in this election campaign, about how increasingly extreme and often dangerous views are becoming ever-more-acceptable, and how about one of the two major parties in the United States is approaching a breakdown as its leaders are finally engaging with their voters, and finding they don’t like what they see, and what that means.

That is a serious topic, and there is much to be said about it. But this campaign is also a testament to hard work. The only reason why Ted Cruz is still standing, and not Marco Rubio or Ben Carson or Bobby Jindal or Scott Walker, and remains the most likely person to be the Republican nominee, is because Cruz outworked every opponent of his by a factor of four. Not only did he outwork his opponents, but his father and wife outworked his opponent candidates by a factor of two....

I’ve already addressed that question probably a dozen times. Are you being paid?

Where? I've been curious myself as to what caused your epiphany on the NBC issue...

I never realized it before but thanks to SaveFerris, I can now say to 2ndDivisionVet, “You da man.”

(By way of background, urban dictionary:

You’re the man, with the article “the” shortened to da in an ebonic style. Usually it shows admiration from the person who says it towards the person to whom the sentence is intended.
Example:
person 1: I got that girl’s phone number.
person 2: You da man! )

Yet another question that I’ve already addressed. Ask me my favorite food or something.

I’ve seen him deny it on other threads before. However, I worked my question a bit differently.

[I’ve been curious myself as to what caused your epiphany on the NBC issue...]

That IS a valid question that I have NOT seen him answer. Perhaps he has.

There was an amusing commercial, years ago, with “You da man!”. I must admit, I laughed.

I will happily post pro-Trump articles but no one has offered yet. But I’d have to have JimRob’s OK and it would have to be noted at the top of each thread.

Does that mean you supported Gore to become president since he had 2 million more votes that "should count" than George Bush?

You seem to be confusing the general election cycle, which uses the electoral college, with the primary cycle.

Apples and oranges.

Trupm has both more popular votes and more delegates than Cruz, notwithstanding Cruz's gleeful use of the GOPe with the "greased skids" setup they put in place specifically to thwart outsiders like Trump ,Paul, and Cruz.

Now that Ted Cruz has become the GOPe's new darling, he simply became the beneficiary of the crooked system that was put in place specifically to thwart the will of the GOP voting public.

It has absolutely nothing to do with any Cruz "ground game".

As far as I'm concerned the GOP leadership might as well try to get recognized as a Union, because they're at least as sleazy and corrupt.

Ted Cruz has lost. He will have been mathematically eliminated after tonight and next Tuesday. His only hope is to get the nomination at a contested GOP convention, which would irreparably splinter the party, and guarantee a GOP defeat in November.

Ted Cruz is trailing a distant third to even John Kasich in many Northeastern states. How can anyone qwho is intellectually honest think that Ted Cruz is a viable national candidate. His demographic appeal is extremely narrow, his tactics are identical to the GOPe's, and he's been outvoted to the tune of 2 million votes by the party's frontrunner, against which the party's elite are conducting a relentless campaign of character assassination in a blatant attempt to blunt his march toward a delegate majority.

The GOPe is corrupt to its core, and will preside over the destruction of the party as a force in national politics if they succeed in their diabolical conspiracy to override the will of GOP voters.

And Ted Cruz is right on board with the whole scheme. In doing so, he has exhibited a profound lack of principle and morality.

Simply put, Cruz being nominated is not going to happen. Not even the crooked GOPe could be that stupid.

But if he is, not only will it mean President Hillary, but it will also bring about the destruction of the party itself, and deservedly so.

Vote Trump

Trump’s Hawaii Investigation (Has people investigating birth cerificate!!)

Time magazine ^ | April 6, 2011

Posted on 4/6/2011, 8:05:53 PM by 2ndDivisionVet

Magnate tells “Today” he has people in the Aloha State conducting on-the-ground research into the

president’s birthplace.

MEREDITH VIEIRA: So, is the time right now for you?

DONALD TRUMP: Well, the time certainly is right. We’re a laughing stock as a country throughout the

world. We’re being taken advantage of by other countries

***

MEREDITH VIEIRA: If you were President, would keep a military presence in Iraq indefinitely.

DONALD TRUMP: Let me just say something. There’s nobody more militaristic than me, but it’s also called

attack the right target. Iran is going to take over Iraq, because we have de-neutered Iraq, you know

that, in terms of their military. They’re gonna take them over very quickly as soon as we leave. If

that’s gonna happen, they’re gonna take over the oil fields. The second biggest oil fields in the world.

And if that’s gonna happen, I say we take over the oil fields…I would take over the oil fields, because

otherwise, Iran is gonna take over the second biggest oil fields in the world....
