I can just see Ted and Heidi Cruz proudly standing on the podium of the RNC Convention with their two daughters, just like I remember seeing Dick and Pat Nixon and their two daughters standing on the podium of the 1960 RNC Convention.

Nixon won that election, as most of us know.

Long term strategy seems to ignore voter intent. Didn’t know that was part of the Conservative Ideology.

It could be an interesting showdown, Party against the Voters. Unless they also have a long term plan to litigate their way to the White House, it won’t work.

Oh, you mean the Kennedy’s stole the election-who would condone such actions!

Ted's PR strategy isn't paying off. In fact it's killing him. He's continually on the defensive Trump because Trump is controlling the PR narrative and playing Cruz like a cheap violin. It WILL affect the delegate count - bet on it.

Ted "A Time For Lies" Cruz is mind numbingly stupid sometimes. It's political suicide. He actually tweeted this. It's as brain dead stupid as Obama's 57 states perfidy. As long as this is par for the course from Cruz, yes, Trump is on track to 1237!

65K Coloradans voted--they just voted against Trump. That's 11 elections in a row we've won.

Trump is a deductive thinker - he begins with the goal and works back from there - no wasted motion - only what contributes to the result.— Bill Mitchell (REAL) (@mitchellvii) March 21, 2016

Guys like Cruz are inductive thinkers. They are so obsessed with the ideological front end, the actual result is an afterthought.— Bill Mitchell (REAL) (@mitchellvii) March 21, 2016

Is it true you are a bundler for the Cruz campaign? Do you have staff to post these articles when you have to go to the bathroom?

And shouldn't you pay a lot more to JimRob to use his site for paid political purposes?

You mean the guy who lost money running casinos, is unable to manage a presidential campaign?

Thank you for letting me know how effective I am. If an older shut-in can do this for his candidate, what is your excuse?

Listen Up as Cruz is crashing it will make it easier to replace him if Trump doesn't Get the nomination

Did any Cruz Bot ever think the GOP would let Ted Cruz be the nominee come Labor day , Ted will be able to claim he is an outsider

You didn't answer my question.

Are you a Cruz bundler, as another poster stated?

Actually Cruz’s loser level delegate strategy is just an exercise in futility. Which is why only he is engaging in it. He has zero chance to win the nomination straight up so he is playing games as though he thinks this thing is going to a second ballot. Its not. Trump is on track to get the 1237 needed to win on a first ballot or so near to it that he only has to negotiate with a few unbound delegates to get pushed over the top on the first ballot.

Ted Cruz hits the mathematical wall on April 26th and soon after that he will be planning his exit strategy as the calls for him to GTFO will start.

For the most part Cruz has not won in terms of votes count but has been very good at working the back rooms. If you can’t win the vote count your are unlikely to win in the General election!

If I’m wrong, I’m certain our host will correct me, but I think he may have been making a point he cares about:

____________________________________________________________

“NeverTrump + NeverCruz = NeverWin = LostSCOTUS = LostFreedom = LostNation Posted on 4/13/2016, 5:36:02 PM by Jim Robinson . . . Captain obvious here again, but NeverTrump/NeverCruz is not the way. We all have our favorites, but don’t lose sight of the mission . . . Free Republic will support our Republican nominee whoever he is against the godless Marxist/socialist Democrats in November!!”

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3420611/posts

____________________________________________________________

My view: “Thieving Ted” and “Lying Ted” is not helpful. Does anyone benefit other than Hillary, Bernie, Jeb, Rubio, Kasich, and others who consistently support Amnesty, who consistently support Obamacare, and who consistently support restrictions on our individual, God-given right to keep and bear arms?

Decent Americans are better off with a real truce, and not just a “I’ll stop when every person who even pretends to support the other side stops” gesture toward a truce that will never happen.

The nonsense is not helping us to elect the best possible conservative in November. I want 99% or more of Cruz supporters to vote Trump, when he is nominated, even if they hold their noses. In the event that Cruz wins the nomination, I want 99% or more of Trump supporters to vote Cruz, even if they hold their noses. Offending the other side does not encourage them to vote Trump (or Cruz) in November.

I cannot help wondering how many of those who stir up the Trump-Cruz wars are actually paid trolls taking Jeb/Hillary/Soros money to cause trouble - not all of them but probably enough to set the toxic tone.

I stand by my recurring statement:

Cruz and Trump are both imperfect but they agree far more than 80% of the time (see my tagline from Ronald Reagan). They should be friends and allies, and we should treat both of them as such.
