Donald Trump's campaign manager appeared to contradict the presidential candidate in a radio interview on Tuesday when he said that Ted Cruz has no connection to the super PAC that put out images of Trump's wife.
Speaking on the John Fredericks Show, a Virginia talk radio program, Corey Lewandowski started by denying that the Trump campaign had anything to do with an unsubstantiated tabloid story alleging Cruz had multiple affairs. That story quoted former Trump campaign official Roger Stone.
"I can tell you unequivocally that this campaign, nor anyone associated with this campaign, had anything to do with this story," Lewandowski said. "Roger Stone is someone who does not work for the campaign, was a consultant to the campaign up until August of last year and I've had no communication with Roger Stone since August of last year, and I don't think, the campaign hasn't either."[continued]

Why isn’t the media demanding Cruz show his “evidence” that Trump was behind the NI story?
I read it that he undercut Cruz’s claim of Stone works for Trump but the headline does not mention that.

Cruz made the claim, he didn’t hesitate or backpeddle. He said it quite clearly for all to hear and quote. let Donnie sue him.
He seems to be quick to the trigger to threaten such actions. I really want to see Ole Donnie under a deposition session with Cruz questioning him.

No. Actually pretty simple.
The N.E. story backfired big time on Trump.
So Corey has to deflect with "wasn't us" just like the Melania ad "wasn't them".
The only source quoted in the N.E. story was ex-Trump campaign adviser, Roger Stone.
Trump cut Roger Stone loose so he could do his dirty work and not be associated with the Trump campaign.

So if Trump doesn’t sue someone (which would take years of course) that gives the media an excuse for not doing it’s job?

I’m quite used to media bias against the people I support. The fact that they are covering for Cruz should tell you something.
Show me where they are “covering” for Cruz.

I have decided that I am not going to waste any more time with articles that have contradictions or as you say, are convoluted. I do not have the time nor inclination to try understanding nonsense. It is happening all too often and I’m tired of it. I feel better letting go and moving on. Couldn’t keep that pace up until November anyway!
I just did. I’ve seen Cruz accuse Trump of planting the NI story in at least a half dozen interviews, and nobody has stopped him and asked for his evidence. They would if Trump made such an assertion.
