Louisiana Public Service Commissioner Scott Angelle announced his candidacy for the U.S. Congress Thursday morning.
Angelle, who came in third in last falls governors race, had been widely rumored to be interested in running this fall for the U.S. House of Representatives or the U.S. Senate seat.
Congressman Charles Boustany, R-Lafayette, already entered the race to replace U.S. Sen. David Vitter, who is stepping down at the end of his term. Angelle is running for Boustanys Third U.S. Congressional District seat, which covers nine Acadiana parishes and includes Lafayette and Lake Charles.

This guy is an establishment hack and a near traitor to the party, not much better than Jay Dardenne. The local conservative grass roots needs to rally around a good candidate.
Actually, I have slightly more respect for Jay Dardenne than Scott Angelle from the 2015 Louisiana Governor’s election.
Dardenne betrayed his party publicly when he endorsed the Democrat John Bel Edwards in the LA Governor’s runoff election last November, but at least he was upfront and honest about it. Scott Angelle didn’t have the guts to follow suit in public...he did everything behind the scenes to ensure Edwards’ election.
Jeez. Just when I thought he went away. Typical tax and spend Louisiana Republican. For those not in the know, here in Louisiana you can take the R’s and the D’s away from politicians’ names and just put a “$”.
I’d like to see this Quisling running from a pack of lions that want to eat him, rather than for Congress.
Scott Angelle and Charles Boustany both pieces of establishment crap.
Nuff said!
You left out Dardenne.
Sorry, that bastard slipped my mind, LOLOL!
