The Establishment wants Rubio.

Rubio inherits establishment support but is on a narrow path to stop Trump

Rubio will set a record running back toward amnesty if elected.

and essentially tied with Rubio in South Carolina.

South Carolina was an open primary. That means a lot of non-Republicans voted. I saw something posted earlier mentioning how many registered Democrats voted in the Republican Primary.

I just recently learned that South Carolina was an open primary, and now I understand how Lindsey Graham keeps getting elected.

Rubio continues the establishment lie of confusing immigrants with illegals. That disqualifies him from ever getting my vote right there.

Cruz can’t get confirmed for SCOTUS. Too many RINOs.

Trump & Cruz need/should go into every single GOP Senate primary and endorse the guy running 2nd.

Just put a cardboard Trump next to some of these Senate candidates & and official endorsement from Trump and they jump 20 points.

It’s a fair argument. Frankly, I would love to get 100% behind Cruz. He’s ideologically superior to anyone running in my adult lifetime. I need to see more from him to get my full support. More ease and likability. More ability to connect with voter who are ideologically conservative. He has good moments and then iffy ones, and I am not sold that he can close the deal in November. He also has stumbled when attacked on his weaknesses (everybody’s got weaknesses), and instead of challenging and turning them around, he seems to get in his own way. Rubio, on the other hand has done a good job of muddying the waters on his key weakness immigration. His issues are lost in the shuffle because he turns around and makes Cruz look equally mixed. It’s BS, but it worked fairly well.

Rubio isn’t going anywhere. He’s the establishment’s last hope. The money is going to pour in. The GOPe and pundits hate both Trump and Cruz. Listen to Michael Medved some time to get the establishment view. He makes Hugh Hewitt look like a right-wing extremist.

I don't want Cruz.

But I have screamed out openly against Rubio from the start!
Florida will not support that little crapweasel.

And unlike Kentucky, we didn't change laws to allow him to run dual campaigns, for both POTUS and Senate.

He is mildewed, inedible burnt toast!

I would agree with this in theory if not for the fact that Ted’s campaign has been such an abysmal nightmare. At this point he just doesn’t seem ready to handle the management of (and accountability for) large groups of people.

But, his trust issues go past his campaign as well, to some of his questionable votes and previous positions on LPR status for illegals. I think he needs to be a voice in the Senate to echo the sentiments of what people want, and actually do it this time, not cower in silence after someone gets primaried for supporting LPR or amnesty for illegals.

Trump has proven it can work. Send him to the big chair and start sending him conservative legislation. Cruz can lead the charge and try again next time, having learned from this campaign.

This one is very simple: Rubio is simply the replacement for Jeb. There's nothing else necessary to know. He's not stepping into Jeb's shoes. He's being installed into Jeb's shoes. He has not choice about what he says. He, like Obama, is a 100% bought and sold skin bag.

It's not really worth debating this or that about him. Because it's not 'him' we'll be watching. A washing machine has more say in how it behaves.

He is the expression of the establishment and absolutely nothing else. Even a Jeb Bush had a say. Not Rubio. Just like Obama (we'll send you to Harvard and this and that and here's exactly what you will do). Not a conspiracy, just a diseased set of short and long term promises, and mankind at his worst.

The Establishment must continue to be crushed and shattered. It starts with this tiny little empty man, so enamored with fame and himself that he sold his only life, not a single principle or tiny free decision or choice left. Sad and disgusting.

Establishment make the mistake of assuming Cruz supporters will pick Rubio over Trump. Cruz leaving the race mean Trump will win by a landslide

Did you know that Roger Stone is a big fan of Al Haig? Apparently Al work hard to keep the Bush coup against Ronald Reagan from succeeding. God played the biggest part, but Al actually did take charge in the White House.

CHRISTIAN CONSERVATIVES FOR CRUZ
DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY MEDIA MACHINATIONS
Some fundamentalists have a thing against Catholics particularly the Pope. That story the MSM conjured up about the pope singling out Trump being a non christian may have turned this for Trump in South Carolina .

But the pope was responding to a loaded question by a reporter from Reuters news agency. And the pope never mentioned Trumps name in his lengthy reply ,which btw was uncovered by Rush Limbaugh Friday a day before the election show; It was this; expressed here in abstract;

In his reply the pope used the term One, to generalize his example and began with; If actually one said ( but Trumps name was inserted here by MSM ) and Pope Francis continued with : one does, one did, one believes : such and such in his response to a rather lenghty loaded question by a so called reporter.. it was meant to be a generalized position applied to anyone who has those views.

Trump responded to what he thought was a direct personal attack by the Pope which was shared and agreed to by everybody including this Catholic and what they were responding is to Trump in effect tellung the pope to go to hell which made the difference.

If they voted that way because of that reason they were mislead by machinations of the media not the pope. Now the medias anti religious agenda is busy claiming Cruz wont win by emphasizing Christian values in: marriage, planned parenthood, abortion and the questioning of wandering positions on these subjects taken by Trump. Which diverts the attention from the media and its involvement while minimizing the Cruz candidacy.

Urge Ted to stay the course and defeat this conspiracy to elect the blowhard . We want back to the days of the constitution and the government out of our bedrooms, kitchens, gas tanks, back yards, as well as our religions. And pick justices who will keep it that way . TED CRUZ IS THE ONE WE NEED FOR BRINGING US TOGETHER AS ONE

ONE FLAG.... ONE LANGUAGE . and the end of hyphenations as ONE PEOPLE .

I back Cruz. If he withdrew and told me to vote Rubio my answer would be, “ i like you but not that much.”
Anyone supporting Trump or Cruz should not be able to vote Rubio except to spite the other candidate.
Lastly the writer makes a pretty bad point about Cruz getting to the SC. To say hes hated by colleagues is fine but we’re talking about a body of people willing to bend with any breeze. If the deal is promise to vote yes for Cruz to SC in exchange for his backing Rubio then he’ll suddenly have 50 new friends in the senate.
