I back Cruz. If he withdrew and told me to vote Rubio my answer would be, “ i like you but not that much.”
Anyone supporting Trump or Cruz should not be able to vote Rubio except to spite the other candidate.
Lastly the writer makes a pretty bad point about Cruz getting to the SC. To say hes hated by colleagues is fine but we’re talking about a body of people willing to bend with any breeze. If the deal is promise to vote yes for Cruz to SC in exchange for his backing Rubio then he’ll suddenly have 50 new friends in the senate.
Probably a Latino student. And maybe even illegal.
Cruz is campaigning on the message we need to deport every illegal alien.
Really? I would need to hear how he said it.
Do you know what “ICE” actually stands for? Immigration Control Enforcement? I’m not certain what the letters mean, but I need to know what their actual authority is.
I want to know who Cruz laid it off on to accomplish the deed tonight. I am certain they will not be deporting those already here, but deport only those who are “apprehended” by law enforcement. ICE deals with felons and cartels.
Law enforcement has to contact ICE all the time on captures.
Half the time Border Patrol has to release them. HERE.
He is still dodging, and remains all in for what he has always said, that the American people don’t want the gazillions deported.
If Cruz came nearer to saying it, it’s because TRUMP is shoving it down his throat in the South. By now, Ted is desperate, he may say anything, but he will never do it.
He always says we “need to do”, or he “wants” to do this or that, but never says he “will do” it.
Cruz is owned by the Cheap Labor Express and he wants cover and he wants the other guy to do it, ICE, or Congress, or the Feds.
Cruz is one tricky guy when his lips are moving, but he is loyal to the Cheap Labor Express. Wall Street donors galore. Mitch McConnell.

Thank you, very much. I can’t buy that, it is based on apprehension in the event an illegal is “apprehended”, for breaking the law.

He never speaks of the twelve million. He skirts the question, still speaks in terms of federal law and ICE. W
In a murder, or drug event, law enforcement arrest all day long, contact ICE, and “catch and release” begins... few go.
Federal law authorizes ICE, to which Ted always alludes, to make those determinations, but it has nothing to do with the millions in the shadows, ever being deported. Cruz never speaks of the twelve million. He hides behind the current legalese of his and crafts an answer that names over there, to someone else, the feds or ICE, who is presently deporting no one, but a felon here and there.
It’s the fact that he has never backed off from those words “pathway to legalization”. He is one slick climber and knows how to get elected on showboat performance and absolutely accomplishes nothing on immigration.
The whole Cruz support does not see it and does not get it. They are being used. Period.
