The press can't spin it for him like they did Iowa, though they'll try.

The bad thing for Rubio is he is gasping for money at this point, so he can’t sandbag his own chances.

If he comes in third here, he will have a third, fifth, and third place finish... how can he tell potential big time donors “yeah, we don’t expect to end up higher than third.”

I think he will come in third and will limp onto Super Tuesday, but if he loses to Bush, he is dead in the water.

I think they’re right in that assessment.

I’m no Rubio fan, but this is just an attempt to move Rubio’s goalposts for him, and seems pretty desperate. I mean, basically he’s saying if Rubio comes in second and beats Cruz, Cruz did awesome. That’s pretty ridiculous.

Cruz and Rubio are in the same predicament, the money is on the winning horse, not the ones that place and show.

Watching the CNN Townhall. Anderson did a good job as did the audience.

Cruz by a mile. Details. Substance. Thoughtful answers.

By A Mile.

She is an idiot. I expect her to lose next time. I am very unimpressed.

Kind of a typical tactic by the Cruz campaign, i.e. setting higher expectations for Rubio than Rubio has himself, so that anything less than a 1st place win is a "loss" for Rubio.

This is the sort of "honest spin" I can live with. The Cruz team can try to pump up expectations about Rubio while he himself down plays expectations, and the other camps will do the same about Cruz. It's all about positioning and momentum for the next contest.

It is smart for the Cruz team, because otherwise, all they can say is something like "well, we got Genn Beck's endorsement" ... just kidding, and throwing the Trump supporters a humorous bone.

“Rubio has to win here.”

Neither of the Cubans will win there.

I just want to remind everyone of her response to the State of The Union speech. She was awful.

Rubio keeps winning endorsements from the pro-amnesty crowd. Wonder why?

More GOPe crap. She sold out faster than Rubio did. Why are Tea Party folks so gullible?

Guess it was the height of the movement and they bought into anyone that pandered.

I guess it’s now 3,5,3,2 ?

Roe was instrumental in the launch of Cruz’s presidential campaign that defined him as the evangelical choice in the 2016 presidential election cycle, branding Cruz as “a divinely inspired warrior fighting a two-front battle against cultural secularism and big government

“make the most of Gov. Nikki Haley’s endorsement of Marco Rubio...”

Nikki Haley just gave the kiss-of-death to Rubio. Haley betrayed conservatives and the Tea Party who elected her. She’s dead meat rotting in the sun. Haley is in this primary to promote herself and maybe get a gig with a K Street lobbyist, promoting the wonders of importing Syrian ISIS terrorists into America. Worst governor in the South. Her approval ratings as governor just slipped below used car salesmen, rattlesnakes and skunks.
