Because covering him non-stop, good, bad or indifferent has given them measurable numbers instead of hash marks (That’s >> in Nielsen books that represent an audience too small to measure.) and they wish to be relevant.
The liberal talking heads may explode over Trump but anything resembling hard news or breaking coverage on the guy is money in the bank and they know it.
orgies in the white house? they don’t want to be left out? get to ride in that jet? retreat down in florida? I dunno.
Nah...It’s all about ratings....
