Did you see Ron Paul is angry about it?

He could have just saved his money and endorsed Trump. Oh wait, can’t buy any influence and favors that way.

Cruz is the natural choice for libertarians since Rand dropped out.

Trump is many things, but libertarian isn’t one of them (nor is conservative).

Trump’s getting most of Paul’s supporters for his foreign policy and bashing the same people who hate Rand.

Most Rand supporters dislike Cruz and envy what Trump has done.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/01/12/pat-buchanan-believes-donald-trump-is-the-future-of-the-republican-party/

Americans did not want to get involved in Georgia, Crimea or Ukraine. They do not want to send an army back to Iraq or into Syria. And Trump, in his emphasis on building up America, and letting these folks solve their problems, is in line with national thinking. The hour of the liberal interventionists like Hillary Clinton in Libya, like the neocons’ hour of power in the GOP, is over.

Yet Trump recognizes the inner hawk in Republicans, dating to the Cold War, when he says, about ISIS: “I will bomb the [expletive] out of them.”

Politically, he has this about right.

This is interesting since all the talking heads say Cruz only won Iowa because of Evangelicals and he can't duplicate that in New Hampshire....not even understanding that Cruz took a good number of the Libertarian votes in Iowa from Paul. (I think I read Cruz took 9? out of 16 counties that Ron Paul won in 2012).

Since Cruz was meeting with Iowa Libertarians as early as March of last year....don't ya think he's been taking his case to the other Libertarian's all across the country? Maybe they weren't ready to leave their mainstream evolving Rand....but they MIGHT be ready to take a second look now that Rand's out.

I'm not saying Cruz could win NH....I'm just saying it wouldn't surprise me if Cruz does better in NH then the polls are saying.
