I need to respond to the personal statement by a Trump supporter in the article. I have heard words to this effect being said by others - Trump has to tone down his statements because, when elected, he has to work with those in Congress. Nothing could be further from the truth and Congress knows it. No one scares the hell out of Congress more than Trump because no one can destroy anti-Trump congress persons better than Trump. If these spoilers don’t do the peoples bidding, Trump will call them out big time and raise the heat to the scorching level by going directly to the people with his bully pulpit. If you think he commands attention in the campaign just imagine what he will do as POTUS. As long as he keeps his ear to the peoples’ concerns, Congress will come around. You can put money on it because it will become clear very quickly that their future will turn on it.

A dozen people interviewed by Reuters said the Texas senator offered a strong alternative to the loud-mouthed New York businessman, though more than half still planned to vote for Trump.

What is this crap? Emily Flitter? News? Sounds like the product of a brain suffering the results of coitus with an AIDS infected simian.

No one would be worse than The Ankle. I would crawl over broken glass to vote for Cruz if he is the nominee.

Cruz was advocating a border wall in 2011,
.......................................................................................................................
And has failed to accomplish a damn thing. Remember, the lawyer Ted Cruz doesn’t ‘intend to legalize people’. But if it happens some other way, I guess he’s okay with it.
******************************************************************************
You do understand that a US Senator can’t build something that the sitting president won’t build, don’t you? But that same US Senator, becoming president, would then have the power to build in his hands?

And if Cruz, for some strange reason, said that he doesn’t “intend to commit mass murder”, and mass murder “happens some other way” you’d “guess he’s okay with it”. I’m guessing you didn’t do very well in Logic 101.

I’ve never used that site but I’ve heard of it. But then I don’t post a lot
of articles which makes the site worth a minute or so for it’s use.

I “hear you” there. I don’t trust most of them (i.e., ALL the ‘RATS and the great bulk of the Republicans) but there is a minority who I DO trust. Cruz is in that minority.

Cruz is in that minority.

I took the time to bone up on some of Ted Cruz's written bills or bills that he sponsored.

Sad to see he cosponsored the Head Start Improvement act. As a constitutional conservative, he should be trying to end Head Start rather than support it.

But, just like most bills Ted Cruz either writes or supports, they go nowhere.

That's obviously more of a indication of the dickless leadership of McConnell and the nastiness of Harry Reid.

Senator Cruz is looking very strong. I expect him to win Iowa and SC, and do very well on the March 1st SEC primary. At that point his lead in delegates will be large and he will be in a strong position to win the nomination.

Oooo....that must mean Ted Cruz is going all liberal on us and we should be scared, very scared?

Nah, nothing could be further from the truth. The two co-sponsors of this bill are Ted Cruz and Mike Lee (that may, or may not, mean anything to you). The bill, introduced in November 2015, has been sent to committee (refer back to your last sentence in your post).

You said “As a constitutional conservative, he should be trying to end Head Start rather than support it.” The bill sort of does that by making Block Grants to the states to use instead of having the federal bureaucrats.

Here’s a link to your “SCARY” bill introduced by Mike Lee and Ted Cruz:

https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/senate-bill/2290/text

The bill also (Section 646) restricts/prohibits political activities of the sort that the ‘RATS typically engage in.

I’m sorry to see that you are “sad” that Lee and Cruz want to divert this money to the states and to forbid any of the funding or agencies/people receiving the funding from engaging in the typical ‘RAT political games.

Interesting, since Cruz said it first. I heard Trump is now trying out the wildly popular “On my first day as President I will abolish the Deptarment of Education” line.
