John McCain was born in Panama but nobody seriously questioned his eligibility to run for President.
George Romney was a front runner in the 1968 Republican primaries, and was born in Mexico of American parents. Nobody seriously questioned his eligibility, or sought to keep him off the election ballot.
Ted Cruz is an American citizen based on his mother’s American citizenship. He did not have to go through the naturalization process to become a citizen. Thus, many believe he is a natural born citizen based on that.
Have the courts ever tackled a case dealing with the definition of a “natural born citizen”?
Obama’s only claim to eligibility is that he had one parent who was a US citizen.
Cruz meets that criteria.

Ted is no more a Natural Born Citizen than Obama. Both parents must be citizens.

...and this is happening when we have a SITTING “president” that refuses to prove his citizenship? If Obama give us the original birth certificate and college records, then they might have a point of discussion...but as long as the Obama presidency is “real” any question on Cruz or anybidy else is mute. It obviously no longer matters.
If States are willing to place him on their ballots, then it won’t matter.
If Obama gets to be President with an American mother, African father and mostly foreign upbringing, Cruz gets to be President with an American mother, loyal immigrant father and American upbringing.
