Four years ago today, eventual nominee Mitt Romney was tied with Newt Gingrich for the lead. Click here for article.

This was how the race looked (Gallup) on November 20, 2011...

  1. Mitt Romney = 20%
  2. Newt Gingrich = 19%
  3. Herman Cain = 16%
  4. Ron Paul = 10%
  5. Rick Perry = 8%
  6. Michelle Bachmann = 5%
  7. John Huntsman = 1%
  8. Rick Santorum = 1%

With Jebbie Bush sitting in Michelle Bachmann territory four years later, we can safely conclude he has no chance.

Donald Trump polling almost double what Mitt Romney was four years ago at this time suggests that he is on his way to the nomination.
