Those whom Cruz has alienated, were never going to help him anyway. What Cruz has done is identify the opposition.

I agree. No question in my mind that the GOP leadership would much prefer Hillary to Cruz. Or even Hillary to Trump or Carson.

For me, it all goes back to the reprehensible way they treated Palin. That cemented things for me, regarding exactly the type of people at the top of the GOP leadership totem. People who share none of my values or beliefs. Just corrupt, crony-esque scum who want their place at the pig trough, and would sell a voter like me out at the sight of a single shiney nickel.
