I think he means if his poll numbers were down to 1-2% - they will skewer the polls in order to get him to drop out. He needs to clarify this position.

-—That’s exactly what Trump said, if his poll numbers tanked and he was at 1% he would drop out since there would be no path to victory polling that low.

Trump was tricked here. He’s trying to tell the 1-2%ers (Rand Paul, for example) to drop out. So he answered this as a hypothetical.

The MSM then spun it as Trump may drop out / his polls numbers are droppings.

It’s a complete misleading sham - as usual - from the MSM.

I did not ear Trump saying he was quitting.

Yes, in a tweak to those who are polling 1-2% (Graham, Gilmore, et al) he said HE would drop out if his numbers got there, not if they dropped a few points.
