Rumors are rampant Carly slept her way through promotions. But that does not bother me as much as the lies she spouts without breaking a sweat. She is Brian Williams on steroids.

Carly was actually leading Babs Boxer until all the negative stuff on Carly came out in Ads and that was the end of FioRINO.

Just the type of person we need to clean out the dead wood in Washington?

“And...he also wants to give up his social security checks.”

I can confirm that, I saw him say it in an interview. Discussing social security reforms, he said people like himself would have no need for it and was asked to specify if he was saying he would give up his social security, he said yes.

She never said she was promoted from the typing pool. Does her father being the dean of Duke prevent her from being a secretary, then later a CEO? And, of what value is your elitist bigotry crap? Do you feel the Bern? You yap just like him.

A short quiz for dullards:
1) Was she a secretary? yes indeed
2) Did she later become a CEO? absolutely

Then she ACTUALLY went from secretary to CEO.

See, the way this works is like driving a car. If you are at point A, and eventually arrive at point B, then you drove from point A to point B even if you drove through many other points in between (a mathematical necessity).

A wonderful rule of thumb - begin by assuming that anything published by HuffPo is a lying pile of snot-wad. This will always bring you much closer to truth than any other starting position.

Very few companies promote from the typing pool

Maybe you never worked for a larger company before so you have the benefit of doubt...

A job in the typing pool is an entry level job, bottom rung of the corporate ladder...

The good and ambitious employees move up from that position to higher levels...

I know my post seems condescending in a way, but if you actually think Fornia went from the a entry level job in the typing pool to CEO because her father is dean of an Ivy league school...you deserve it..

Yes, since I live in NYC, I’ve worked in some of the largest corporations in America. No, since the 70s, it has not been possible to move from the typing pool into other positions. (If that was ever really possible!) Today, they have intern programs, etc., that bring in people from good colleges who bypass the typing pool. (Actually, there is no such thing as the typing pool anymore. Or very, very rare.) The only company I know that promotes from the mail room is William Morris. Whether they still do that I don’t know. It is possible that a boss may take a shine to a secretary and move her into another position in a few years but that is generally not a policy handed down from HR.

Fiorina worked one summer as a typist between college. Hardly a working-class drone, riding an hour on a rickety bus into the city of a hot summer day, to sweat away 8 hours on a typewriter for a pittance until Human Resources discovered she was a genius.

My point is not that she moved directly from the typing pool to CEO - that’s a total misreading of my post and you know it. But coming from well-educated, connected people is what helped her.

Would you deny that Eric Trump made it totally by the sweat of his brow or that he had a boost up?
