The bottom line is this: As long as Republican politics demands extremism, some candidates are going to adopt highly controversial positions that rally conservative support while potentially driving away voters in general elections. Would you support a change in the 14th amendment if necessary to achieve that? Trump cited his rivals views on immigration, Iraq and the Common Core education standards. So, I see what Mr. Trump is talking about right there. Our country is going to hell.
Trump announced in his proposal for his policy for immigration that was released this past Sunday that he wants to put an end to birthright citizenship thus preventing future immigrants that are undocumented from giving birth to a citizen of the U.S. simply by being on U.S. soil.
Trump has taken a slightly different position, suggesting during an interview with Bill OReilly on Tuesday that the Constitution does not actually grant birthright citizenship to the children of illegal immigrants born in America.
Fellow co-host Brian Kilmeade answered that, You cant kick out 11 million people that are here. They both have Trump at about the same absolute level currently. But we need someone who can temper those fresh ideas and his rhetoric when necessary and is capable of working with others to get things done.
So does it even matter that Trump has commandeered the issue?
No issue has been more central to the Trump campaign than immigration. I think we are far better off focusing on securing the border.
According to a CCN/ORC poll that came out earlier this week, Trump has 24 percent of the GOP votes. But after the countrys Civil War in the 1860s, when anti-slavery northern states defeated a southern confederacy favoring slavery, the countrys Constitution was amended to make it clear that all freed slaves were U.S. citizens.
Democratic primary voters who identify themselves as conservatives amount to a higher than usual 20 percent, the survey found. Among that group, Clinton only scores 26 percent. As long as I am treated fairly.

Trumps plan and rhetoric takes us in exactly the opposite direction and will undermine much of the progress we have made in reaching out to the growing population of Hispanics and immigrants in Colorado and in other battleground states, Call said.
In their dreams. No thanks. Besides, why take a substitute when you can have the real deal?
Why the other politicians are jumping on the bandwagon leads me to believe all they are trying to do is get out in front of the parade. If he’d have been out front from the beginning, that’s one thing. To jump in now, well, who knows what he believes. Just my personal opinion.
Didn’t Boner promise to go after obamacare when up for re-election? First thing he did when he go to Washington was tell his Dem counterparts, “Whew, that was close. Now, how much does the government need to fund obamacare (as he’s pulling out the taxpayers checkbook).
GOPe disgusts me
When you are falling behind the parade you wish to lead, it only makes sense to hurry up and try to get around in front of it again.
Only, that position is getting a little crowded at the moment.
“Me-too” has such a dread sound to it.
Exactly. Which is why “me too” is open to change once elected to office.
Come out first, and forcefully, and I’ll believe you. Only one has done that.
What is “Republican Party Extremism’?
There’s no such thing as “Democratic Party Extremism” is there? The Obamocrats, the Democrats, and the Republocrats have pushed our country to such extremes we teeter on the brink of disappearing. Obama notified us of this very intention when he announced “fundamentally changing America” from a free constitutional republic to a socialist state. No one called that extremism.
The Leftist MSM are the ones with the loudspeakers and bullhorns today. Their perspective starts with an extreme left viewpoint as “normal.” Anything to the right of the MSM is not “centrist” even though in fact, “centrist” is what our Founders were. Today our Founders would be “extremists”. Lovers of freedom and small government are “extremists” to those who love big government and tyranny.
I long for the day the light of truth plainly shines for all to see, as Reagan once showed, on the true extremists, the Leftist Socialists, for who and what they really are.
Scott Walker Is Sounding More and More Like Ted Cruz
******************************************
Hmmmm? A duck call sounds like a duck and ducks will flock to it, but then what happens?
Nah, I’ll stick with the real deal and not fall for a ‘sounds like’.
Scotty Nothingburger needs to go homes with his open borders Megyn Kelly BS.
But he’s a GOPe-owned fraud. As Cruz himself would put it, a “campaign conservative”.
Walker is fading to black and he knows it. He has no message, no vision for America and generates all the excitement of a flea circus.

Sorry, Scott you might try to sound like Sen. Ted....but you are no Sen. Ted. Sen Ted is my senator and he is far above you. However, feel free to keep talking. I like what you’re saying and will delay giving you a grade until it is found just what you would do if if that would be anything like Sen. Ted would do. Learn as he teaches. Learn and grow.
I didn’t see Walker’s name mentioned anywhere other than the headline.
If he’s trying to sound more like Cruz or Trump, it’s because he knows his boat is taking on water and he has nothing to bail it out. ....I think Rubio’s boat is leaking, too.
