I can see why people are swept up, cheering on Trump’s blunt truth ‘ s to a supposedly dumbstruck mainstream media.
However, Trump loves the spotlight, like few others.
I maintain he fulfills an important role as spoiler, just as Perot did in taking 19% of the 1992 vote.
Parallels:
Both super rich, pseudo conservative, media sound bite lighting rods, bombastic controversial characters drawing independent quasi conservative voters to vote third party, essentially guaranting democratic wins (Clinton I & II)
This plot is so predictable.
IMHO, Cruz is the best man-of-conviction hope for America, if America has any hope.
One difference, Perot never led the pack. He was always a freak like Ron Paul.
