I’m not sure I understand your comment. Are you saying you trust his past position, and figure that he’s just pandering now?
Well, my take on Bernie Sanders is that he is certainly a “progressive,” not a conservative. But on the whole he is a decent guy, and seems to be honest.
I don’t know what he would do on the immigration issue, frankly. But if he changed his mind, it would probably not be because he was bought out by the Chamber of Commerce guys.
I’d say he’s a bit like Mayor Koch used to be. Honest and decent, but far too liberal to want in office.
