Stop retreating, stop compromising, and stop acting like the other side is a bunch of nice people who just don’t understand the world as it is. The author DOES realize that they are talking about the GOP, right? GOP = Surrender Monkeys, on an even worse level than the French!!!

Amen! Like some of the cartoons about French and Iraqi weapons (”French/Iraqi weapons for sale - never fired, dropped only once!”), establishment members of the GOP routinely drop valid arguments before ever firing them.
