Pretty good sparring there. The media has no clue, it seems, how clueless they are.

Cruz has balls. I love that he goes right at them with none of the excuses. No Romney ‘48%’ b.s. is going to derail Cruz. He’ll fight back and not retreat.

Too many Republicans want the MSM to like them. Ain’t gonna happen. Do what Reagan did and make your case directly to the American people. Show some damn balls and take the office you want with courage, faith, and conviction.

We don’t need Democrat Lite on our ballots this time out. The base won’t turn out (they didn’t the last two times out) and we have no shot.

Cruz!

Cruz will draw more attention when the debates start. Right now, they think he doesn’t have a chance. He will destroy the others and show himself as the most principled each time. His arguing before the higher courts and even the Supreme Ct has prepared him for this.

“ISIS is executing homosexuals — you want to talk about gay rights? This week was a very bad week for gay rights because the expansion of ISIS, the expansion of radical, theocratic, Islamic zealots that crucify Christians, that behead children and that murder homosexuals — that ought to be concerning you far more than asking six questions all on the same topic.”

Whoa, Nellie!!

Sparring, in the sense that George Foreman sparred with Joe Frazier in Jamaica.

Then Texas' junior Republican U.S. senator, visiting Beaumont to meet privately with county officials and others, got in a light sparring round with reporters, mainly working on his attacks on Hillary Clinton and defending his views on same-sex marriage.

"Is there something about the left — and I am going to put the media in this category — that is obsessed with sex?” Cruz asked after fielding multiple questions on gay rights.

Cruz also said he did not think his opposition to gay marriage will hurt his chances with moderate voters.

“With respect, I would suggest not drawing your questions from MSNBC. They have very few viewers and they are a radical and extreme partisan outlet,” Cruz told a reporter. He cited the expansion of “mandatory same-sex marriage” as an assault on religious liberty in the United States.

And I assume most of the news outlets will spin:

"Today, in Beaumont, Texas, controversial Republican presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz once again refused to respond to questions as to whether he would support gay rights, deflecting questions by blasting reporters for being, quote, 'obsessed with sex', unquote."

Good grief! Beaumont is my home town—and I can’t ever remember a presidential candidate showing up there. There are lots of union people in Beaumont, with all the refineries and such that are located there.

Beaumont is known—in some circles—as “The Armpit of the World”—LOL!
