Sorry, but I heard Limaugh's show during the Rubio comments. 1) Rush has effusively praised the CONSERVATIVE elements of every person who has announced so far. He praised Rand Paul's concerns about the national security state, he praised Cruz's staunch opposition to Obamacare, and he praised Fiorina's terrific attacks on Clinton. So he was entirely consistent in praising Rubio's "What I owe America" speech and contrasting it with Zero's "What America owes me." 2) Rush has consistently for years stayed away from picking candidates in primaries.

GOP and conservative pundits would be smart to emulate Rush: focus on Hillary/Zero/Dems and point out when ANY candidate does that, and stop sniping at GOP candidates. The primary voters will handle that.

Exception: I don't think I have ever heard Rush cite anything Huckabee says, but then, I can't either.

I agree with you. Rush doesn’t pick candidates in the primaries, except for Operation Chaos in 2008. He praises conservatism and trashes liberalism in candidates and others.

Many of the GOP candidates have conservative creds, and none of them are perfect. If we’re looking for a politician who is always perfectly conservative in everything he/she does, we’ll be looking for a long time, and we would be ignoring the realities of elected office.
