What began as a banner day for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker in his quest to secure his partys presidential nomination on Monday ended as a unique disaster.
According to Nicholas Confessores reporting in the New York Times on Monday, the libertarian billionaire David Koch told a crowd at a Manhattan fundraiser that Walker had all but secured his endorsement and the support of his and his brothers donor network. When the primaries are over and Scott Walker gets the nomination, Koch is reported to have told the crowd.
We will support whoever the candidate is, Koch supposedly added in a quote now scrubbed from The Times story. But it should be Scott Walker.
But just a few hours later, Walker spoke with The Blaze host Glenn Beck where he adopted a position on legal immigration squarely at odds with the Kochs libertarian sympathies....

The Kochs are not conservative, they are libertarian.
Im basically a libertarian, and Im a conservative on economic matters, and Im a social liberal, Koch said, who acknowledged that his beliefs about same-sex marriage and abortion conflict with the conservative beliefs held by many of the candidates propped up by the checks cut by him and his brother. Thats their problem. I do have those views. What I want these candidates to do is to support a balanced budget.
The plain truth is there just aren’t that many people who are going to send money to a politician. That’s just the way it is.
I’d expect more than this sensationalist carp from Hot Air.
Question: Did you read the whole thing?
Posting without reading the article Since Oct 18, 2012.
Then how did I raise over $40,000 for Fred Thompson in the short time he was in the race and am on the way to $50,000 for Ted Cruz? I’m like the opposite of a millionaire.
I sense a trend.
What does the article say?
You want me to read the article for you? Can I chew your food, too?
You are in a weird mood.
I read the article.
It is sensationalist carp.
Oh noes. Koch brother changed his mind. Worst day ever for Walker.
Oh, yes, also please chew my food.
A bunch of liberals HOPING that Walker lost the Koch brothers because they fear Walker more than anyone, even Cruz.
They wrongly think Cruz is easy to defeat.
But Walker has not been defeated despite everything the left has thrown at him....and that scares them.
I agree we need to stay positive about the race, and about our candidates.
Whoever we run next year, we need to be behind.
That means don’t truly go after any of our guys (or ladies).
They'd rather complain about not getting who they wanted to be able to vote for - then they stomp their dainty feet and refuse to vote for who's left because their "principles" won't allow it. Then they blame all the "idiots who voted for Obama" for the nation's woes.
That's just the way it is....
The Clintons and their backers look to the UN, and to George Soros, and to anti-American countries (who have a vested interest in a weak U.S. national defense [what Hillary and her administration in waiting call "SMART" national/international defense/diplomacy] and a weak U.S. economy).
When Americans (of all stripes) understand that this is where the Clinton's money and muscle comes from, they will understand why her election is so bad for them.
It couldn't be clearer and that is why the MSM is going along with Hillary's "Un-running" campaign.
Why Scott Walker Is Right on Immigration
Scott Walkers Anti-Immigration Epiphany ["anti" must be there to scare]
I totally agree.
There is nothing wrong with comparing Walker and Cruz on immigration, but to call either one an amnesty advocate or GOP-e is plain dishonest and gutter politics.
Personally, I like both, but think Cruz would be the most awesome Attorney General we could nominate. He would dismantle the ATF, reform the FBI and actually enforce our immigration laws!
you’re right. unless it were a really special statesman that you trusted and really thought could change the country. Now I hear Ted is supporting this trade agreement that those on the board said would give foreign powers decision making power over our immigration policy. and i can’t find out online whether that’s true or not
funny, 2 billion spent in last election and the voters didn’t budge from a year previous poll. everyone knows what they want mostly. and there are just too many of THEM than US. we need to find fresh blood
Tick tick tick. Walker’s position could win him the primary. Making it about American jobs is something people can understand.
