Anything the government subsidizes gets bigger until it is too big to fail. School tuition does not reflect its true market value. Attaching it to tax credits further bloats the system and keeps a lot of worthless degrees from cluttering up the competition in the free market.

well, this is an easy one. the marxists don’t want it to be a write off because the ones they want to go to school (minorities, immigrants, socialist leaning population), don’t have earned income to write it off against.
