Approx every 20 yrs there have been alternating accounts of either “global warming” or global cooling”; always catastrophic and these go back to the late 1800’s. The thing is that the sun is on about a 20 yr cycle for heating and cooling and the alarmists notice this at the end of each cycle. When I was in the 7th & 8th grade it was the coming ice age.

The difference now is that the left needs the issue so they will do whatever is necessary to make it fit; even change the terms and definitions. This is why it isn't “Gore-Bull” Warming anymore but “Climate Change”. Anything fits that.

I had a customer (who turned out to be a whack job) tell me several years ago that “Global Warming” means that it will get colder in the midwest. People in the east and west have probably been fed the same like of bs.
