The Post reports:
Former Texas governor Rick Perry on Thursday will announce that he has recruited more than 80 major donors, including some of the biggest bundlers in Republican politics, to aid his efforts as he prepares for a likely 2016 presidential campaign.
Perrys list of supporters is heavy with wealthy Texans, including many energy executives, investors or other business leaders who have backed his previous campaigns, such as his unsuccessful 2012 presidential run. The Rick PAC Advisory Board also features bigwigs in California, New York, Florida, Illinois and other donor-rich states, as well as more than a dozen donors who made five- or six-figure contributions in 2012 to Republican nominee Mitt Romneys campaign, his super PAC or both, according to documents obtained by The Washington Post.
For example, Kyle Bass, a major hedge-fund founder, Dan Brouillette, a senior executive at Texas-based USAA, and Dan Allen Hughes, founder of his own company, made major contributions to Romneys 2012 campaign or PAC....

Go Rick Go.
One of the advantages of have run a FAILED campaign once is that you learn from your mistakes. I have no doubt that Perry will make an impressive showing this time.
I don’t discount that at all. He’s doing the right things. We all know it’s too early to be able to see any trends, and I still think the 2016 election will not go the way most conservatives would prefer.

*******
Just ask President Romney.
I’ve noticed the big donor line-up announcement is one of the first things you hear from candidates. At least they’re not for sale.
He is also very weak on immigration.
Rick Perry’s taxpayer $1 Billion funded ETF/TEF pay to play crony capitalist crowd. Some of the same names that backed Romney and McCain. Yeah, Rick’s a die hard conservative...LMAO.
Rick has a lot of problems, being a liar among them. Be careful what you wish for.
A couple of election cycles back, he promised - no he swore - that if elected, he would fix the illegals coming into Texas. The week after election he said (basically) “Hey, I’m just a governor. I can’t do anything about that”.
Governor Goodhair will never be known as President Goodhair.
I attended his speech at my college. The man put the “tool” in tool.
Waiting for the Walker supporters to come out and bash Perry on immigration... 4..3..2..1.
Yeah, but Mittens said that he didn’t want to run. Was pushed into it. So he basically ran a half-assed campaign.
And it was successful. As far as half-assed campaigns go.
Don’t know about an impressive showing but seems that Perry has got some
big money already being lined up against him.

Jeb Bush lays out plans for 60 fundraisers for 2016 bid ^
Bush operatives who joined the former Florida governor at the afternoon event announced
that 60 events in cities across the country have been scheduled to raise money for his
federal leadership political action committee, which can accept money only in limited
amounts, and his super PAC, which can accept checks in unlimited amounts.
At least he manned up and admitted Gardasil was a mistake.
And face it. ALL our candidates will be weak on immigration. As far as we hardcore FReepers define it.
Even Ted Cruz will offer a path.
You mean ask Ronald Reagan...
I want to know about him aligning with Steve Schmidt and Henry Barbour

Or Regan (1976)
I’m a Walker backer, but will not attack either Perry or Cruz. Any one of those men would make a fine president. On balance, because of his great fights and successes against radical DemonCraps, I’ m for Walker, but the other two are great backups if Walker flames out.
