What makes this kosher Passover cruise different from all other cruises? Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz is going to be onboard, as reported by JTA. Alongside speakers like Rabbi Jonathan Sacks and rabbi Marvin Hier, the senator is going to make appearances on kosher Passover cruises in Aspen, Colorado, Westlake Village, Monarch Beach, CA, and Vieques Island, Puerto Rico. The Prime Hospitality Group has scheduled a Cruz for these getaways, a testament to the growing number of Jews voting Republican and the wooing of the Jewish vote by the right.
Although a majority of American Jews still vote Democratic, and might not see eye to eye with Cruz on issues such as gun control and abortion, Cruz has been outspokenly supportive of Israel and is gearing up for a possible 2016 Presidential campaign. He met with casino tycoon and right-wing financial backer, Sheldon Adelson, as well as former Presidents council chair Mort Zuckerman and philanthropist Michael Steinhardt. Cruz even angered some for this outspoken support of Israels policies when he spoke at a dinner for Mideast Christians, and he was even booed offstage.
Who knows how much support Cruz can get from the Jewish communities, but the kosher cruises might be a start, as well as financial backing from heavyweights like Adelson.
I just hope Cruz also keeps in mind, that America needs JOBS.
We have been de-industrializing our very own nation now for over one entire generation.
Americans need work. Right here.
Cruz should lead America, and demand we bring back jobs, right here.
These wonderful- sounding cruises must really have Divine backing to include an ocean cruise in Colorado. ! Mazel Tov!!
President Reagan helped create jobs and Ted Cruz is as close to Reagan as we’re going to get.
Ah! Those Passover cruises in Aspen, Colorado! Bring your fur coat.
Ocean cruise in Colorado — a miracle. -— never underestimate just how well connected those rabbis are! Smile smile smile.
I’m just saying.
Someone, at some point, is going to make bringing back American jobs a big (and very successful) rallying cry.
I sure hope, it is Republicans who move on this.
This election. Now.
Noah’s ark, perhaps?
You got a good point there !
Biblical precedent.
Oh, please. Spare us, unless you are going to (sanely, for a change) demand an end to labor unions and abolition of the corporate tax. I rather doubt you will do that, though.
Just saying.
We have been de-industrializing our once mighty manufacturing country, and have now slipped to number two internationally, and China is pulling (rapidly) ahead.
Bring back jobs, right here. Now.
BTTT
How did Cruz do with Zuckerman? I think he’s a very interesting, influential guy.
Quit spamming.
Get a grip on yourself.
Supporting the return of jobs to America isn’t “spamming”. America is now 18 trillion dollars in debt, and nobody is doing one thing to reverse that problem.
Thanks however for your reply.
One party, or the other, will eventually support bringing back jobs right here to America.
I am saying the time is now, and the GOP should lead it.
Spamming threads with spam, is spamming.
There is something mental going on with you.
Supporting American manufacturing is not spamming.
China now leads America in national manufacturing, and is growing rapidly. A significant amount of that, is because AMERICA IMPORTS TONS OF STUFF FROM CHINA.
China however, is not returning that behavior. China is continuing every year, to sell us more, and more, and more. But not importing more, and more, from America.
Nobody is doing one single thing, for America. You may not want to talk about this large and growing problem. Why I do not know.
But it’s a large and growing problem.
It is a problem which needs to be talked about, and it is a problem we need to do something about.
You may not want to discuss it, but that does not make it spam.
Cruz might just go on board the ship for a day it is in port near San Juan to give a talk.
Below may be the cruise they are talking about.- Tom
2015 Passover Cruise 14th Annual Kosher Passover At Sea 14-Night Southern Caribbean Passover Cruise On the HAL Ryndam Under Conservative Supervision March 29 - April 12, 2015
“Under conservative supervision” ha! Meaning ... The rabbis .... and Cruz — ha! Sounds like a great voyage (but I get sea sick so will stay with paws firmly and safely on shore, thank you )
