Depends on who’s being ‘alienated’. Illegals I could give two squats about. As for legal Hispanics, if they feel their ethnic connection to the illegals is stronger than their citizenship and the sovereignty of this country, then there are probably a whole bunch of other areas where we disagree also. You are either an American (Citizen) or not. There isn’t an in-between.

They are willing to alienate all their White constituents to keep from hurting the illegals’ feelings...

DAN PATRICK, who was just ELECTED Texas Lt. Governor 2 weeks ago is likely the most ANTI-ILLEGAL Republican to run for such a high office (basically the job is at least as powerful as governor, of the second most populous state in the country).

He won his race against a well-respected LATINA State Senator. He won by 19 POINTS. He got 46 PERCENT of the HISPANIC vote. And they knew EXACTLY who he is what he stands for, as their media would not let them watch 5 minutes of football without reminding them.

The ONLY PEOPLE that think (or, really, push the thought) that border security and making this country less attractive for Illegals will hurt Republicans are the REPUBLICAN CONSULTANTS, most of whom are gay anyway.

Since it is the New York Times, I did not read the article. However, some Republicans seem to be on the prowl looking for things to fear.

You were obviously way ahead of the curve. I didn’t realize Jorge Busho was a liberal until he was already in office. And when I started to see the light, I got in trouble on FR because I offended the Bushbots.

“Some Republicans fear...” There always will exist wimps, feckless ones who have inordinate fears about anything. Step aside, you flaccid ones. Let leaders emerge who will fight the fight. To be driven by your fears is to lose before the fight.

They aren’t going to love us anyway, Jeb! aka “some republicans”.

Any statements from Jeb, even anonymous ones, should be accompanied with the statement that he is married to a born and raised Mexican woman.

Oh, yes! Look how much we are adored by the black population after fifty years of bending over backward and throwing every benefit and freebie we can think of at them! Now we have another underclass clamoring for us to fork over what we earn so they can be “free” along with another entire class of deadbeats we created ourselves with our welfare system. “Free” means something entirely different to those people than it ever did to us.

And all this for votes. Heads up! We elected a President who hates America with all his being for the very same reasons; twice! The joke is on us. Soon there will be no reason to be afraid of offending sexual perverts and “minorities” because there is no campaigning or voting
under a dictator. The only ones we will need to impress then will be (her).

I thank you for posting this link. I had seen it before but never took time to read it all. It furnishes me with new respect for my little concealed handgun that goes with me everywhere now and refreshes the hope that perhaps my beloved country isn’t quite lost as yet.
