If Obama Attempts Amnesty, Wouldn't You Think The GOP Will Take It To The Supreme Court?

Posted on 11/05/2014 6:32:08 PM PST by Cruz_West_Paul2016

And how come no one has brought this up? The GOP already took Obama-Care and a few other matters to the Supreme Court over the last few years. So why not take this matter to the Supreme Court. Mitch McConnell would become a hero if he and Boenher take a stand and threaten the President that they will take the issue to the Supreme Court and they will make the final decision on whether to let 5-10 Million Illegals become legal. (and god knows hows many are criminals).

They need to impeach the Ahole and make his fellow rats in the Senate defend his lawless actions.

The first line of defense they have is to prohibit any funds from implementing it in a continuing resolution. Then they sue and get an injunction.

For one thing, the stupid ass SC would probably wait 2 years to take up the case. If ever. By then the damage is done.

None of the courts business. The remedy is impeachment. Amnesty = Impeachment. Period.

The whole country should just face it.... Obama’s off his rocker and needs a mental health evaluation ASAP. He needs to be removed from the job for his own good.

The republicans did not run on anything let alone make any promises. I suspect they are not going to do much outside of keeping their jobs.

Congress is the supreme court.

I suspect they are not going to do much outside of keeping their jobs.

Which will probably lead to them losing their jobs, or at least the majority.

But if they did, then doesn’t the law also have to wait for a year or so before being/or not being implemented?

He can pardon their past crimes. He can’t make them legal. There is no way around that.

I believe that would be a proper remedy. It’s already worked in the past, and as the legislature they would have standing for executive overreach into legislative affairs.

A carefully crafted lawsuit with a private citizen with standing could get to the Supreme Court. However, they are unlikely to take a (political) lawsuit from the Congress against the Executive.
