Harry Reid’s top man tears apart the White House
The Washington Post's Wonkblog ^ | November 5, 2014 | Zachary A. Goldfarb

You almost never see this in politics. David Krone, the chief of staff to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D), launches a major attack on the White House in this blockbuster story by my colleagues Philip Rucker and Robert Costa:

At a March 4 Oval Office meeting, Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) and other Senate leaders pleaded with Obama to transfer millions in party funds and to also help raise money for an outside group. “We were never going to get on the same page,” said David Krone, Reid’s chief of staff. “We were beating our heads against the wall.”

The tension represented something more fundamental than money — it was indicative of a wider resentment among Democrats in the Capitol of how the president was approaching the election and how, they felt, he was dragging them down.

[...]

Krone sat at a mahogany conference table in the majority leader’s stately suite just off the Senate floor and shared with Washington Post reporters his notes of White House meetings. Reid’s top aide wanted to show just how difficult he thought it had been to work with the White House....

this is not good. Obama probably feels he’s at war with both sides, and may implement a scorched earth policy.

Thanks for posting this very pretty story:) And I quote:

“Senate Democrats aren’t likely to care at all about Obama’s attempts to burnish his legacy in his final two years. They’re going to be laser-focused on winning the Senate back.

“As he looks toward his final two years, Obama is looking toward a Congress with few friends, and many enemies, on both sides of the aisle.”

So guess who’s going under the bus next? Grabbing popcorn for the show of the century.

It appears the commie ‘RATS couldn’t get enough “boots on the ground” for their “ground game.” The GOP’s air game was awesome.

Worried about dragging them (Dem Senators) down...but not worried about dragging America down? What a bunch of self-obsessed pukes.

“As he looks toward his final two years, Obama is looking toward a Congress with few friends, and many enemies, on both sides of the aisle.”

It has been pointed out occasionally that Obama has never really tried to get good working relationships with anyone in congress, even democrats. Even the congressional black caucas says they are never invited over to discuss anything. He has two years of chickens coming home to roost.

Reading the article, you see that the Dems worried about what Obama was doing (and not doing) only insofar as it negatively affected their re-election chances.

Obola will now spend up the taxpayers’ money with great rapidity, on vacations, Moochelle’s wardrobe, the kids’ wardrobe and education, golf games galore, travelling the world, his library, etc. And he will give amnesty to illegals very very soon.

You should go one step further. Not only does the President lack insight on international affairs, the budget process, national security, and public priorities.....but he lacks insight on party dynamics, state elections, and the national party apparatus.

There should have been one guy in the White House with sole responsibility of looking at the 2014 mid-term as far back as 2009, and keeping the President’s priorities at how he helps the party, the agenda, and keeps the message flow at a positive level. They should have been thinking 2010, 2012 and 2014. Instead, it was a White House message, for the benefit of the insiders, and it left all Democrats beyond that point screwed.

I say this....because all of this marginal play...got down into state and local politics. There are Democrats who ran for county commission, state attorney general, and state agricultural commission....who lost because the general view on national Democratic politics is so negative. In effect, there’s 300-pound anchor hung on every single Democrat who ran in 2014 for any office, and those who did win...were lucky to have marginal Republicans running against them, or just plain lucky.

My take is that Harry Reid and the majority of the senate crew have had their fill of the President’s vision of politics, and they will walk quietly back to the theme existing prior to 2008. Forget about any weekly meetings with the Democratic Senators for remaining two years. This President is about as lame as you can get. His plan, his agenda, his lack of success....has grown to full maturity.

The Rats are now switching their tactical approach.

They are back to arguing all things Americans hate are consequences of promises made by Bush.

Just listened to a tail end argument on MSNBC claiming all the unaccompanied illegal children who entered the country in May were arriving because of promises made by Bush and they intended to bring this up now that Republicans were back in power.

It appears to be a natural tendency for the Rats to now simply lie about everything to shirk any accountability for their past actions, and now just want political power at any cost. They’ve honed their skills to lie and will apply it whenever they choose simply to adversarily accuse.

With enemies on both sides of the aisle, impeachment and removal from office is a possibility.

The Rats are now switching their tactical approach.

Now they are pretending to be against him while he implements the most radical agenda in American history to position themselves to run against him by being to the right of him in the 2016
