Below the fold on the front page of the October 15 edition of the Washington Post was a rather fascinating story out of Ferguson, Missouri, about how young black voters in the St. Louis suburb are considering casting at least one vote on the ballot this November for a Republican.
Post staff writer Sandhya Somashekhar delivered the scoop you are very unlikely to find noted on race-obsessed MSNBC. Here's a relevant excerpt (emphasis mine):
FERGUSON, Mo. — Darren Seals experienced waves of disbelief and anger after Michael Brown’s death, but two months later, he has found a way to channel his emotions: Focus on changing an elected leadership that seems deaf to the concerns of African American residents like him.
So on Nov. 4, the 27-year-old assembly-line worker and hip-hop musician from a deeply Democratic community plans to take bold action. He says he will vote for a white Republican.
“Just because they’ve got the D next to their name, that don’t mean nothing,” said Seals, who lives a few blocks from where a police officer shot Brown. “The world is watching us right now. It’s time to send a message of our power.”(continued)

They’re waking up?
I don’t know about that but it wouldn’t be a bad time to try to undermine the democrats effort. The demos are only trying to use the situation before the elections. After that, they’ll be gone.
Not so much waking up, just realizing that the democrats are using them. Still they might accidentally do themselves some good.

The Rats have been afraid for decades that the blacks would see them for the racist heirs to the KKK. That is why they want amnesty so badly.
This guy will be ostracized in his community. He’ll get the whole “Uncle Tom” treatment.
We should send Cruz or Paul up there. This could be a tipping point in our direction. Seize the moment!
First they run Rev. not-so-Sharpton out of town on a rail, now they’re voting for Republicans?
Don't know, just what does Darren Seals want?
Equal opportunity for Blacks to compete in the workplace and educational institutions?
Equal opportunity for Blacks to make intelligent social decisions?
Equal opportunity for Blacks to respect the rights of all citizens, including property rights?
Or does Darren want more Negro privilege in ignoring cops and rules from those White Republicans?
Does he expect White Republicans to allow Negroes to do as they please because the the Man is White and racist?
Does he expect White Republicans to elevate Negroes higher than Democrats will on the Democrat Plantation?
White Republicans might not live up to his expectations.
I have worked a number of working-class jobs over the last decade and I would never be able to count the number of working black people I know. I have also seen numbers that show that black men were among the hardest hit when so many manufacturing jobs went overseas. Maybe no other group was so hurt by global trade deals. And I also believe that as Jesus died for the sins of all, including those native of Africa, that there are no people inferior or superior to any other.
If they are... it’s all over for the Democratic party for the next 100 years
