Except that he didn't; there were photos of him golfing after he said that. But on the other hand I don't recall that Bush was never near the golfer that Obama is to begin with.

What’s most disturbing is that there’s no one in Obama’s inner circle with the judgement and/or influence to at least get Obama to move his eternal vacation and golfing to Camp David, out of the public eye.
There may be someone who has advised against his obsession with this golf thing. I would bet anything that if an adviser suggested he not play, his literal words were “eff em.” Today on Fox, Tammy Bruce said he is passive aggressive.

So in 2008, nearly 5 years after the incident Bush referred to as a trigger point for not playing golf through the remainder of his presidency, his recollection is a bit incorrect in that he did play a round a couple of months later. Five years later. It looks like he definitely stopped playing golf that particular day on hearing the news, and played at least once a couple of months later - but the jest of what he was saying was that there was a point at which he recognized appearances meant something - and he willingly put off an enjoyable pastime. So he didn’t clarify that it got him thinking and shortly thereafter he gave it up instead of instantaneously - memories blur a bit after five years.

Of course, and the Huffington Post and Keith Olbermann would never lie or dream of falsifying a date on a video, just like Dan Rather would never lie... all the Democrats are such fine upstanding, honest people.
I am sorry to see that some of you get taken in — I personally believe George Bush, not some slime who are not above lying, falsifying records and so on, just to make Bush look bad.
