U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, on Wednesday named Nick Muzin as senior adviser and deputy chief of staff for strategy, effective Monday, July 14.
Nicks broad range of experience and networks make him the ideal person to help us craft a positive, forward-looking vision for America and take that message to every corner of the country, Sen. Cruz said in a statement. I am delighted to have him on our team, and look forward to working together.
Muzin, 38, an Orthodox Jew, is a physician and attorney, and is currently the director of coalitions for the House Republican Conference, where he oversees strategy and outreach for the 233 Republican members of the House. He was previously chief of staff to Sen. Tim Scott during his term in the House, and directed his political action committee.
I am thrilled to be joining Sen. Cruz and his outstanding team, Muzin said Wednesday. America is hungry for bold, conservative leadership, and the world needs a strong America that will stand up and lead, not withdraw and decline. Sen. Cruz has demonstrated the courage, skills and principles to change things in Washington, and it will be an honor to assist his efforts in any way that I can.
Most recently, Muzin hosted a fundraiser for Sen. Cruz in New York City. Cruz, a darling of the Tea Party, raised $85,000, mainly by Orthodox Jewish donors from NY and NJ.
Muzin lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with his wife and three children.
Awesome ..!!!!!!
A Republican Senator of Cuban descent hires an Orthodox Jew who used to work for an African-American House of Representative member.
