Republican strategist Steve Schmidt, the former campaign adviser to 2008 Republican presidential nominee John McCain, has repeatedly argued that the Republican Party should be more inclusive of almost everyone, it seems, except Sarah Palin.
On Friday nights broadcast of HBOs Real Time with Bill Maher, during its online Overtime segment, Schmidt tersely responded to a viewer question about McCains selection of Palin to be his running mate:
MAHER: Steve Schmidt, Is it possible you picked Sarah Palin the wrong year? Oh, my. Could she have swung the women vote in 2012 enough to have put Romney in the White House?
SCHMIDT: No....

Either way he has plenty of ‘conservatives’ that line up right here on FR to slam her with the very same BS this jackass uses. I don’t know why it’s allowed to continue.
Same thing.
Steve ‘homo-marriage’ Schmidt is the poster-boy for the kind of Fifth-Columnist FILTH residing in the GOP that does everything in its power to sabotage genuine conservatives, with the help of their lefty compadres in the media. Figures this human maggot would be cozying up to Bill Maher. The two of them should share the same lamppost.
I think half of the RNC are DNC plants
Jeb Bush will be pimping amnesty at CPAC in a couple weeks.
I wonder if Schmitt will be busing in amnesty shills for Bush’s speech, just like they bused in shills for Romney’s speech last time?
There is a case to be made for the opposite...that the Dems are filled with GOP plants. Afterall, they purged the Blue Dogs and moderates and went hard left. Not the GOP is matching that to take over and form form one big happy political party.
So perhaps we have been looking at this all wrong. That’s no crazier an idea than Republicans supporting gay marriage and 80 of them just signed a legal brief doing that very thing.
Note there is no ideological backbone to guys like Schmidt. Politics is just a paycheck to them. And that is why they get steamrolled and lose.
Quit blaming others for your campaign Foxtrot-ups.
Maybe Schmidt should try political advertising, too, and stay in the background.
It would have been a landslide for 0zero, McLame would have been twisted out like a cigarette butt on the sidewalk.
RINO gender-nazis as well as Axelrod attacked Palin, and we all watched what Axelrod did to Herman Cain.
Of course he’s a Dem..actually he’s a progressive Socialist..and its about damn time the GOP throw clowns like this out of the party..the sooner we start cleaning house the better we will all be..Schmidt, losing campaign after losing campaign and schmucks actually have this guy on TV..figures Maher would, he loves to see his fellow Socialists who pretend to have an “R” next to their name to trash Conservatives
Steve Schmidt's theme song. Beck - "Loser"
I am not sure if Schmidt is a real Republican. It may be a tactic of the Democrats to imbed their operatives into the Republican apparatus. Why two men such as Schmidt and Rhoades ran such inept campaigns rings the conspiracy bell for me. As for Schmidt, his efforts to divert blame on Sarah Palin reminds me of a squid squirting black ink into the water to escape blame. The word “squid” is an apt description of Schmidt.
Now that we have speared Squid Schmidt, calamari anyone?
Next up is Matt Rhoades.
Thing is, people who want us to ‘fix’ the GOP by electing conservatives conveniently ignore the fact that Schmitt is the default. The party is loaded top down with his clones. Secretaries, janitors, consultants, bundlers, PR, all of it.
So when a Ted Cruise or a Palin gets elected, they set to work gutting them. And they will do so until RINOs regain the seat, whatever it will be.
A third party will take years. but it is the only option. And then it will have to be run like a Union to keep the libs out. No compromise our way or the highway style.
Like THAT would ever happen....
With Republicans like that one, who needs Democrats?

Oh Steve. Bless his heart.Im not sure why anyone listens to this guy unless they only want to hear what he has to say in order to know to do the exact opposite. But then, were talking about Bill Maher here, so of course hes going to promote an expert like Schmidt as being representative of the GOP. Per the Daily Caller:
On Friday nights broadcast of HBOs Real Time with Bill Maher, during its online Overtime segment, Schmidt tersely responded to a viewer question about McCains selection of Palin to be his running mate:
MAHER: Steve Schmidt, Is it possible you picked Sarah Palin the wrong year? Oh, my. Could she have swung the women vote in 2012 enough to have put Romney in the White House?
SCHMIDT: No.
MAHER: No? Thats your answer?
SCHMIDT: No.
MAHER: Never again. Your feeling is there never is a good time for Sarah Palin?
SCHMIDT: No.
MAHER: Well, do you think she has learned anything in the years since?
SCHMIDT: No.Yeah, well we feel the same way about you too, skookums.
Maher is killing two birds with one stone with this kind of footage. First, Misogynist Maher loves any opportunity to disrespect Governor Palin so it makes sense hed play footsie with Stevie and give him a chance to dis her. Second, hes putting the spotlight on an even bigger self-important loudmouth buffoon than himself who he wants the public to perceive as a leading voice in the Republican party, not only because Schmidt is endlessly repulsive and thus by connection so is the GOP but also because Snakeoil Steve helps confirm that even the leading voices of the Republican party shudder at what a horrible mistake the Palin choice was in 2008.
We need more Doles, Bushes, McCains, and Romneys. That way we can enjoy a nice, prolonged strangulation.
Is Schmidt a gay, atheist misogynist? He certainly acts and speaks like one
I’m leaning that way too, in terms of a third party. There’s a seemingly insurmountable level of “inside sabotage” within the GOP establishment (whom are soul-mates to these loathesome anti-conservative scumbags like Schmidt and Rove).
Palin herself provides ample example of this. Just think about that ‘wardrobe’ flap that was afixed to her in 2008. The RNC folks could have cleared up that ridiculous lie in a split-second, but they let the media chew on it like a hungry wolf-pack, extending a totally false smear for over a week... to imprint on the public mind the notion that Palin was some kind of money-hungry hillbilly running from store to store on a spending spree. The GOP-McCain-Romney crowd allied themselves with the scum in the media to specifically diminish her character and her influence
Similarly, in the months after the election, they had groups ostensibly ‘announcing’ Palin would attend certain political events without even getting her acceptance. When she balked, negative headlines then appeared stating she was mercurial and backed-out without warning, replete with interviews of the group members trashing her for her lack of professionalism and unserious ways. Again, deliberate sabotage, concocted for negative stories and headlines.
This is the kind of all-out crap that the GOP-establishment will pull on any genuine conservative. It’s made the whole Party a poisoned well.
I would gladly let all the RINOs go to the Dhimmicrat party. Perhaps we can just form one Teaparty and the hell with all the rest of them. The country club republicans can all go be the leftist gay marriage crony capitalist they crave being.
