No one hates heat and humidity more than I do, yet the Dallas area does a lot to mitigate it. Many parking lots have artificial shade, almost every building is air-conditioned, festivals and fairs are equipped with misters and/or portable a/c and lots of shade.

Some of my Wife’s Family are in Mississippi. I never go visit there after March or before October. Bugs, stifling heat and humidity make it a nice place to visit, but I wouldn’t, or couldn’t live there.

I currently live near Laguna Beach. The difference in the Weather living here and pretty much everywhere else is beyond comprehension. It is such a shame that Liberalism has destroyed the once Golden State.

It will take a lot for us to leave, but it isn’t even on the radar at the moment. I am taking care of my 89 Year Old Blind Aunt who is on Dialysis and my nearly 90 Year Old Father.

Neither one of them will ever move away from here, so I have to tolerate whatever the California Commies come up with for the time being.
