My first-choice, bar none.
The perfect mix. Palin’s unique combination of fiscal conservatism, social conservatism, independent anti-establishment, western-state libertarianism, and mid-American populism fits my ideology hand-in-glove. Nobody since Reagan has come this close for me.
Of course, the country is probably quite unsalvageable at this point, making it all rather moot. And the GOP itself is such a corrupt, decrepit mess, as well. Totally defective. But whatever Palin decides to do, go for the nomination, start a third-party, whatever, I’ll sign up. I have far more trust in her than what’s become of the GOP.
One more important point: when you compare Palin to Teddy Roosevelt, it drives liberals absolutely nuts.
I mean, more nuts than they already are.
