> They all cover for their owner. All of them.

And one day they will all turn on him. It will be brutal. It’s not if; it’s when.

> If you mean hack into voting machines in a polling place, it can’t happen as those machines are not hooked to the internet at any time.

The polling machines themselves but how are the votes transmitted to be tallied? Isnt it possible that they transmit the number f votes electronically. Maybe someone that works for an Elections department can chime in.

A memory card is taken out of the machine and taken to central counting. Both a Republican and Democrat make that trip to assure no one has access to the memory card on the way there. Texas law says a law enforcement officer must follow the car.

I am under the impression The coding and templates used in Orca are well tested and have been in use for quite some time. Peeling the skin off a banana and replacing it with that of a plantain, does not effect the core, it is still a etible banana. The issues that plagued Orca on election night would have effected any such program run that evening. It was clearly sabatoged and I for one hope all information gathered during directive 2 helps exposé this security breach. National Security exceeds any single election.

Once machine results get to central counting, in Texas, the law my husband wrote defines who may work in central counting and what each one does. That was to assure both parties were present and specific order was kept during the process.

If “Shaw’s Law”, which is what we called it, was operating in Florida, West’s votes would not have been “misplaced”.

When people lose confidence in our republic because the vote can’t be trusted, then we no longer have a republic.

Then I guess we no longer have a republic.

Probably, unless they are useful. Sometimes I think things like this are like a job interview/resume/business card all in one, but the stakes, the nature of the game and employers have changed these last few.

Anonymous has also been going after Israel, as reported on Breitbart. This is one response with a real world hardened point of view from Scribe71:

"All it takes is one little slip up and game over."

Which is all the evidence required to determine that "anonymous" is nothing that it pretends to be. Young people, even high-functioning hacker types, are incapable of the kind of organization required for this sort of sustained effort. The idea that they've been able to effectively target nations and global corporations while going undetected by intelligence agencies and private security firms for as long as they have is laughable on its face. There's a state-sponsor behind this operation. Most likely Russia, the United States, or both.

Interesting times, huh?

I like “The first 90 percent of the code accounts for the first 90 percent of the development time. The remaining 10 percent of the code accounts for the other 90 percent of the development time”

But I agree, the Orca project was jaw-droppingly inept. What idiot decided *not* to allow volunteers to test their logins in advance?

Yes, I agree. This one of the first and few times in my life that I am sort of ok with not having a family.

Looked at your profilt, a quote from Buckeroo Bonzai. I haven’t seen that movie in ages.

Good advice. I agree. I set my life up that way, but then took myself out of the game.

I had to weather quite a storm the last few, one of those seemingly endless times where everything bad in life hits one after another after another, and just had too much to deal with. Who'd want to bring someone into that?

Finally, the storm seems to have passed. I'm back on my feet and things are getting good again...and then election 2012!

Quite a ride, this thing called life.

I thought that was one of the stupidest things I'd ever heard when I saw the movie way back when, but now I think it's rather profound.

*sigh*...those were better days and I guess I miss Buckaroo Banzai and The Hong Kong Cavaliers...where have all the heroes gone when our world needs saving this time?

“where have all the heroes gone when our world needs saving “
this time?”

I’m going to use a name turned into a verb, “Soros-ed” (def. turning Democratic Republic institutions into Socialist by using HUGE quantities of money)
