I don’t think a tea-party candidate would work - they would be considered too far right wing. Some of the athiest Independents wouldn’t like it.
Unfortunately, if they are the party of Santa Claus, we would have to become the party of the Easter Bunny. What freebies are we willing to consider giving? (sarc)

You have a good idea here. We need a FReeper THINK TANK. To start with - cobble together a platform & have a thread for all ideas, suggestions about what we want to do as a party, even what to call it. It will be interesting to see if we can even come to any agreement here on FR first before it's tested nationally.
A reasonable thing would be identification. Do you consider yourself a Conservative, Libertarian, Independent or whatever else. We'll see how these come together in mutual agreement between us....before we can hope a national election could agree with what we come up with.
Someone or a group of people need to start & nurture this 'new party' thread & we need to tend to & participate in the next 3 years. The last year will be a fine tuning year.
