A former Democratic aide to Bill and Hillary Clinton is throwing her support behind Mitt Romney in the presidential election, arguing Romney can offer bipartisan leadership.
I know what it means to work across the aisle on issues that are important to the American people, Gigi Georges, the former Executive Director of the New York State Democratic Party, said Saturday. And thats why I am supporting Mitt Romney.
Georges, a former special assistant to President Clinton, worked on domestic policy issues for the National Economic Council. She also worked in Hillary Clintons Senate office as state director.
For most of my life, Ive been an active Democrat, she said.
But she argued Saturday that Obama hasnt worked well with both Republicans and Democrats.
Thats what President Obama promised to do four years ago, she said. But like so many of his promises, bipartisan cooperation is just another one he has broken. We cant have four more years of failed policies and two parties that cant work together. We need the change Mitt Romney is offering.
Romney responded to the endorsement, saying Saturday that, I look forward to working with her and all Americans who want to move this country forward, whether they be Democrats, Republicans, or independents.
Yeah well, the Blue Dogs probably still exist. But with the Democratic Party turning violently communist/islamist, it’s not like they’ve had much of a chance.
Ouch that’s gonna leave a mark.
Oh, good. I thought they are recycling Dick Morris’ story again.
Follow the money. Always.
And this is good news? This is yet another indication that a Romney administration will be interchangeable from a Clinton administration? A lot of Democrats realize a Romney administration is something they could love...
