Christie was inspirational, like a half time locker room speech. He was talking about guts and fighting the fight we know needs to be fought.

Ann spoke from her heart with a theme of love for her man and her country. But, it was cleverly designed to be a direct hit against Obama's fake war on women issue. It worked well. A special extra to her speech was a great introduction provided by Puerto Rico's conservative First Lady Luce Vela.

Both of them were great efforts. I think they were two of the top three; the other being by former Alabama (D) Rep. Artur Davis.

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised by Davis’s speech. I liked Nikki Haley’s too. She slapped ol’ Barky and his union bosses around a bit, didn’t she?

Ted Cruz and Artur Davis were the best speakers of the night.
I think they were the only two not using notes of any kind.
I like the way Cruz walked out on the stage and I liked the way Davis sounded like a preacher. I also thought that
good looking Janine Turner was good for the couple of minutes she spoke.
