The G.I. Bill is not a giveaway program, you earn that money and also pay in a portion of it, unless you’re a service-connected disabled/wounded veteran, then it is totally “free” (if you consider losing a limb or eyesight no big deal) and I didn’t hear what Mrs. Romney proposed, so I’ll withhold judgement on that.
Believe me, there are many, many injuries listed as disabilities that do not include losing a limb, or eyesight.
