I’ve always been amazed by the tendency of VA Beach (and Norfolk to some extent) to vote Dem in state/national elections. With the huge percentage of current and retired military and military families in that area, it should be a solid GOP pickup.
The upcoming election should, in a logical world, having VA Beach and surrounding areas, running away from Obama over his treatment of the military, his ROE’s, gays in service, etc. And yet, I say this every single time there is a Dem in office and usually come away shocked that “they did it again”.

You seem to forget that McDonnell carried Fairfax in 2009. So double-counting it should help the ‘Pubs!
